Our Alternative Provision Supports Learning through Engaging and Enjoyable Activities
Safe Alternative Provision
Alternative provision services offer a vital lifeline to young people who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to thrive in mainstream educational settings. The core mission of these services is not only to provide an alternative but to ensure that this alternative is safe, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s unique needs. As the landscape of education evolves and diversifies, the importance of safe alternative provision services has never been greater.
Personalised Learning and Support
No two learners are the same, therefore everything we do is bespoke. We assess the individual needs, strengths, and aspirations of each student, creating learning plans that foster engagement and achievement. This might include therapeutic interventions designed to address barriers to learning.
Collaboration with Families and Professionals
Safe AP work closely with families, local authorities, social care, health professionals, and other agencies. This partnership approach ensures that all aspects of a young person’s wellbeing are supported and that risk is minimised through shared information and coordinated action.
Skilled and Compassionate Staff
Our staff are the backbone of our safe and nurturing environment. Recruitment focuses on individuals with a strong commitment to safeguarding, a deep understanding of young people’s needs, and the ability to establish trusting relationships.
Focus on Reintegration and Future Pathways
For many, the ultimate goal of alternative provision is successful reintegration into mainstream education or progression into further education, training, or employment. Safe AP services provide tailored transition plans, ongoing support, and practical guidance to ensure young people are well-prepared for their next steps.
Continuous Evaluation and Improvement
Safety and quality are never static. AP providers regularly evaluate their provision through feedback from learners, families, and professionals, external inspections, and the monitoring of outcomes. This ensures high standards are maintained and services adapt to the ever-changing needs of their learners.
Additional Needs Specialists
Our staff are trauma trained and specialists in dealing with young individuals who have additional needs including young people that are autistic, have ADHD or behavioural issues.
Learning can be fun and engaging when we incorporate it into activities we enjoy. For example, playing sports can help us understand mathematical concepts like angles, speed, and distance. Visiting historic places can bring history to life and make it more memorable. Science is indeed all around us, from the way plants grow to the technology we use every day. By being curious and observant, we can learn so much from the world around us.
We firmly believe that our young people need to learn positive social interactions, social skills and communication. As mentors we can teach them these important aspects of “grown up” world without them even realising we are teaching.
We are dedicated mentors that enjoy giving everything we have for YOUR young person. We take our work seriously and are constantly re training and enhancing our knowledge in order for US to give YOUR child the best care and experience.
